Joseph A. Rychlak Joins the D’Arcy Vicknair Team

D’Arcy Vicknair is happy to announce the hiring of new associate attorney, Joseph A. Rychlak. Joseph’s primary areas of practice are construction litigation, surety representation, and bankruptcy work. Prior to joining D’Arcy Vicknair, Joseph served as a law clerk for in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Mississippi, as well as the United States Bankruptcy Court for both the Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana. He then went on to gain practical litigation experience at various firms in Southern Louisiana, working in several different practice areas, with a focus on bankruptcy and commercial civil litigation.

D’Arcy Vicknair is delighted to have Joseph join the team and his extensive bankruptcy experience will compliment D’Arcy Vicknair’s representation of its surety and construction clients.

Adrian will be teaching a class in Construction and Surety law and Norman will be teaching Labor law.

EEOC Poster Revised – by Norman A. Mott, III

 

Effective October 20, 2022 the EEOC has revised its required workplace discrimination poster advising employees of their rights. The posting also must be made available in n accessible format for persons with disabilities that limit the ability to see or read. Employers should replace existing posters with the new one. More information and a download link for a free poster, and posters in English and Spanish as well as in screen readable format, is here https://www.eeoc.gov/poster . Some employers may also be required to distribute electronic versions of the poster, depending upon their normal methods of communication with employees.

Non-compete agreements in Louisiana are strictly regulated by La. R.S. §23:921. Louisiana has a strong history of not favoring or enforcing non-compete agreements.
