D’Arcy Vicknair founding partner, Adrian D’Arcy had the honor to again be a panelist at the second annual Blueprint Conference, presented by Riess LeMieux. Along with co-panelist Dan Lund of Phelps Dunbar, and moderated by Murphy Foster of Breazeale, Sachse & Wilson, L.L.P, Adrian imparted his knowledge and expertise to a packed audience on construction cases and legislative update.

 

 

 

The Blueprint Conference serves to provide insight into critical issues in the construction industry including the art of negotiation, modern insurance products, delegated design, owner financing issues, due diligence on private projects, a deep dive on delay claims, and more. The event also provides a unique opportunity to network and learn alongside industry professionals and executives.

 

Ashley Robinson and Margaret Davis Attend Women in Construction Conference

The Women in Construction Conference is the East Coast’s premiere forum for education, professional development and networking for women in the build industry. The organization empowers women to continue to grow and achieve success in the community with a “By Women, for Women” motto. Ashley and Margaret spent the morning volunteering with the Check-In Crew, helping check in close to 600 registrants.

Ashley Robinson Attends ABA 2023 Fall Leadership Meeting

As the newly appointed vice-chair of the Design and Construction committee for the American Bar Association’s Real Property, Trust and Estate Law Section, D’Arcy Vicknair’s own Ashley Robinson was an enthusiastic attendee of the ABA’s 2023 Real Property, Trust and Estate Law (RPTE) Leadership Conference held in Toronto, Canada.

The RPTE Fall Leadership Meeting is exclusive to Section leaders and provides a unique opportunity for sponsoring companies to connect with more than 200 key members who gather to discuss and make decisions for the new fiscal year. D’Arcy Vicknair is proud to announce that two of its attorneys, Adrian D’Arcy and Norman Mott, will again have the honor of teaching at Loyola College of Law this Fall. They are both excited to impart their expertise in their respective practices to the students of Loyola’s College of Law.

Adrian will be teaching a class in Construction and Surety law and Norman will be teaching Labor law.

Andrew Vicknair to Present Seminar at the LSBA’s Construction Law From the Ground Up Program

D’Arcy Vicknair founding partner, Andrew Vicknair, will be presenting a seminar, “Construction Licensing” at the upcoming Louisiana State Bar Association’s Construction Law From the Ground Up Program on March 22, 2023.

This program will take attendees through all phases of Louisiana construction law. The program will be presented by an excellent collection of seasoned construction attorneys representing owners, developers, public entities, general contractors, insurers and sureties in all aspects of construction from the initial needs and negotiation through enforcement of rights in the event of disputes.

As our one year anniversary approaches, all of us at D’Arcy Vicknair are grateful to have had a successful first year, and we are excited for the future. In under a year, we have been blessed to see the firm grow. And as the firm grows, so must the office space. D’Arcy Vicknair is delighted to share some pictures of the literal expansion of the firm, as our contractors have broken down a wall to give us more office space.
