D’Arcy Vicknair is delighted to announce Lauren Marquette has joined the firm as special counsel. Lauren’s primary practice areas include construction litigation and surety litigation in state and federal courts. Prior to joining D’Arcy Vicknair, Lauren’s practice focused on commercial litigation, commercial contracts and business transactions, estate planning, succession disputes, and family law.
D’Arcy Vicknair is excited to have Lauren join the team and put her litigation experience to work.

As the new school year begins, two of D’Arcy Vicknair’s attorneys, adjunct Loyola Professors of Law, Adrian D’Arcy and Norman Mott, find themselves again imparting their expertise in their respective practices to help mold the young legal minds at Loyola College of Law.
Adrian is again teaching a class in Construction and Surety law and Norman is teaching Labor law, a class he has taught for 20 years.

Ashley Robinson, along with Douglass Wynne with Simon Peragine Smith & Redfearn, LLP, presented a Panel at the American Bar Association’s Construction Law 2025 Annual Meeting: Surety Secrets: Understanding Their Role and Decision-Making on Troubled Projects on April 24, 2025. Ashley and Doug discussed a surety’s perspective in securing project funding, exploring coverage triggers under various bond forms, fulfilling a surety’s obligations, and when payments are made.

To prepare the Top Women in Law List for 2025, New Orleans Magazine opened the voting to all licensed attorneys in New Orleans who were allowed to recommend up to three colleagues in each given legal specialty. Each nominee was carefully evaluated on the basis of the survey results, their license and their current standing with the State Bar Association of Louisiana. Female attorneys who received the highest number of votes in each specialty are reflected on the list.
