Adrian D’Arcy and Ashley Robinson spoke again at this year’s New Orleans Bar Association’s Procrastinators Program.

Adrian and Ashley discussed the most important recent decisions in Louisiana and beyond that affect the construction industry and construction practitioners. Adrian and Ashley also discussed recent developments, decisions, and cases regarding the nationwide status of the disadvantaged business enterprise program, Louisiana cases regarding judicial interpretations of peremption and binding mediation clauses, and other decisions affecting construction industry participants.

Electronic Signatures and Indemnity Agreements – Risks with Attorney-in-Fact Provisions, an article written by Adrian D’Arcy Ashley Robinson was published in the Winter 2025 Edition of Surety Bond Quarterly.

Surety Bond Quarterly is the official, professional magazine of the National Association of Surety Bond Producers, providing industry insights, news, and developments for surety professionals, contractors, project owners, and government officials on surety bonds, construction, and related topics.

Adrian and Ashley discuss how electronic signatures have become prevalent across the United States, discuss the legal structure which facilitates electronic signatures, and detail possible risks associated with indemnity agreements being executed electronically with a focus on issues related to attorney-in-fact provisions.

Ashley Robinson Participates in 2025 Annual Women in Construction Conference in Washington D.C.

Representing D’Arcy Vicknair, Ashley Robinson participated in this year’s 2025 Annual Women in Construction Conference, held in our nation’s capital, Washington D.C., last week. The Women in Construction Conference is the East Coast’s premiere forum for education, professional development and networking for women in the build industry. The organization empowers women to continue to grow and achieve success in the community with a “By Women, for Women” motto.

This year, Ashley served as a Breakout Session Co-Chair, and she helped to coordinate the seven breakout sessions, topics of which included: “Seizing Opportunities in a Booming Construction Market,” “Speak, Connect, Build: Storytelling for Women in Construction,” and more.

Ashley Robinson Selected as 2025 Leadership in Law Honoree

Ashley Robinson was recently honored by New Orleans CityBusiness magazine in the 2025 Leadership in Law category!

Started in 2005, Leadership in Law recognizes legal professionals in four categories: firm associated, court associated, in-house counsel and educators. Honorees were selected based on their professional and community involvement and achievements that have set the pace for the overall community.

Honorees were celebrated at an in-person event at the New Orleans Museum of Art on October 6. Congratulations to Ashley for this honor!

 

D’Arcy Vicknair Welcomes Jasmine Bandy to the Team

D’Arcy Vicknair is pleased to announce that Jasmine Bandy has joined the firm as an associate attorney.

Having worked as an Assistant City attorney for the City of New Orleans, having clerked for a state court judge, and having worked for the Louisiana Supreme Court while in law school, Jasmine brings substantial experience to the firm, where her primary practice areas are construction litigation and surety litigation.

D’Arcy Vicknair is delighted to announce Lauren Marquette has joined the firm as special counsel. Lauren’s primary practice areas include construction litigation and surety litigation in state and federal courts. Prior to joining D’Arcy Vicknair, Lauren’s practice focused on commercial litigation, commercial contracts and business transactions, estate planning, succession disputes, and family law.
