Jonathan M. Foster

Jonathan M. Foster’s primary practice areas include construction litigation and surety litigation in state and federal courts. Prior to joining D’Arcy Vicknair, Jonathan was a Law Clerk for Judge Robin M. Giarrusso and Judge Lori Jupiter at Orleans Parish Civil District Court.

Jonathan was a non-traditional student – going back to school at 40 years old. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Legal Studies from Tulane School of Professional Advancement in 2018, and his Juris Doctor from Tulane Law School in 2020. While in law school, Jonathan was Founding President of the First-Generation Lawyers Association, and was a member of Tulane’s Public Interest Law Foundation, and Civil Law Society. He also clerked for Louisiana Supreme Court Associate Justice, Marcus Clark.

Jonathan is an adjunct professor at Tulane School of Professional Advancement, teaching Litigation II (Civil Procedure) classes to current and future paralegals.

Jonathan lives in New Orleans with his wife (an educator), daughter, and two very excited rescue dogs. When he isn’t working, he enjoys playing drums in his hard, alt-rock band, Unfortunate Side-Effect.
